Well, due to a Covid-19 surge in the Townsville region the Birdlife Townsville committee decided it might be prudent to cancel any indoor activities in August. This obviously meant we couldn’t hold the photo group meeting as usual. The result? Photo group members were able to provide ten images for loading to this page instead of the usual five, since we couldn’t show them on the night. The theme for August was ‘Wetland Birds’, with the clarification ‘species normally found in or in the near vicinity of a wetland environment’. The clarification obviously opened up the available species somewhat. We hope you enjoy our little selection.
